Our experience has taught us that when you do business with organizations who share a similar set of values, so much more becomes possible. It’s why we seek deeper, more value-driven relationships with key partners who share our strong belief in caring for the planet and for people.
In 2018, Clarke introduced a new Partner in Caring award program to honor business partners who have chosen to demonstrate our shared values beyond the bounds of business, through outreach to the communities they serve.
The inaugural Partner in Caring award was presented to Andy Tecson and his wife Nancy Hagen for their work founding the glenhagen farm retreat camp. It is a non-profit charity located near Princeton, IL, that's dedicated to providing environmental enrichment, education and experiences to people of all ages and walks of life, with a special focus on serving kids who may have limited opportunities to experience the outdoors. The mission of the camp is to be a place to grow, experience and explore nature, and learn to care for the environment. It offers platform tent camping, a pavilion and activities on 65 acres of prairie, aquatic and forest land.
Andy Tecson is a principal in Chicago-based Chuhak & Tecson, a law firm that has served as Clarke’s legal counsel since its founding in 1946. With Andy’s strategic counsel on mergers & acquisitions and corporate strategy, the Clarke Group has realized its dream of growing into a national, and now international, public health company.
Nancy Hagen is an accomplished musician, has a background in accounting and finance, and serves as a volunteer for several non-profit organizations. The camp is named in honor of her late father, Glen Hagen, a farm boy from Wisconsin who believed that everyone should have opportunities for personal growth, learning and recreation.
It is Clarke’s great honor and privilege to recognize and support Andy and Nancy’s vision to build glenhagen farm retreat, which after years of work, has now become a reality.
