With net openings of only .010” x .010”, this net allows the capture of the smallest insects. It is constructed with high-quality polyester multifilament mesh and stainless steel rings for excellent sunlight and weather durability and includes many features not available elsewhere for field trapping.
A removable shelter and the fan’s desiccating air flow provides insects with an area to avoid rain and remain dry. The bottom of the net is a removable tray that allows damage-free removal of insects for taxonomy studies or identification. The aspiration of live catch samples is easily accomplished through a velcro port. A write-on label provides error-free identification of trap sites, and draw-string closures make set-ups secure and easy. The net dimensions are 17” (43cm) tall by 10.75” (27.3cm) in diameter.
With the addition of PROP (set of 3 wooden props sold as optional equipment) the net can be used as a transportation cage.
