Caring for the Planet: Clarke’s Sustainability Initiatives

It takes more than a statement of commitment to make a difference.

Back in 2008, Clarke set out aspirational expectations aligned with sustainability. By building these values into every decision, we have reduced our organization’s environmental footprint, cultivated community giving, created a flourishing culture for coworkers, and increased the mix of NextGen products and services in our portfolio.

Caring for People & Communities: Clarke’s Culture of Giving

Values like caring for people and the planet have fostered a tradition of philanthropy and giving back to the communities where we live and work. Here are some ways Clarke’s coworkers are giving of their time, talents, and resources:

  • Employee Volunteering: Clarke coworkers are active members of their communities, volunteering an average of 18.5 hours per full-time coworker each year. It’s just part of our culture to go that extra mile for our neighbors.
  • Day of Caring: During the Annual Day of Caring event, Clarke coworkers around the world spend a full workday volunteering in support of local environmental projects of all kinds. Many of the projects we support during Day of Caring are recommended by our customers so we can make a positive impact directly in the communities we serve.
  • Give to Tomorrow®: An annual grant program providing financial support to nonprofits that share Clarke’s commitment to environmental sustainability
  • Partner in Caring: Honoring business partners who have chosen to demonstrate our shared values beyond the bounds of business, through outreach to the communities they serve.

Taking Action with the Clarke Cares Foundation

Saving lives and reducing the suffering caused by mosquito illnesses doesn’t happen without hard work and dedicated focus.

That’s why in 2008, we established the Clarke Cares Foundation, a not-for-profit committed to building programs and fundraising to help create a healthier future for those at-risk around the world.

Helping Protect Public Health For Over 75 Years

Since 1946, Clarke has been in the business of bringing forth solutions that reduce the disease burden of mosquito-transmitted illnesses such as West Nile Virus, Zika, Dengue and Malaria. We remain a family-owned business headquartered in Illinois, but today, Clarke’s mosquito control solutions span the globe.

As we’ve grown and evolved, our purpose has remained simple: to help make communities more livable, safe and comfortable by developing and deploying innovative mosquito control solutions that are as environmentally-responsible and sustainable as possible.
