In 2008, Clarke established the Clarke Cares Foundation designed to provide relief from mosquito-borne disease in communities of need around the world.
Today, the Clarke Cares Foundation raises funds through three primary channels:
- Programs: The Foundation’s year-long programs drive donations and distribute long-landing insecticide bednets to communities in need. In partnership with The Carter Center, the Foundation raises funds for The Net for Net Project, which delivers mosquito bed nets to Nigerian families. Clarke matches dollar for dollar any donation made to the Foundation.
- Events: Events are regularly hosted in support of the Foundation to raise funds and spread awareness. Successful events include a show at New Orlean's House of Blues in which 700 people attended, as well as affiliate-hosted events like our annual Kentucky Derby party, golf outings, church fundraisers and school-sponsored drives.
- Internal: Clarke remains actively involved in driving the Foundation’s mission internally, by providing matching gifts for Clarke employees and spreading awareness and interest among customers and colleagues.
